1.  To create first start with a blank page and then go to Tools - Graphic and import a graphic.

2.  Next with the graphic on the page, right click the graphic and go to Show 2D Object Properties.

3.  In the 2D Object Template put a checkmark in II Update.

4.  Next place a 2D Text window on screen by doing an Alt O and X  and create a template field by Alt O and T and posisition the text window and template field below the graphic.

5.  Right click inside the template and go to Template properties and put a checkmark in AutoErase.

6.  Save this page to an unused number. This will be our Template Description Message.

7.  Next go to the host computer and start Hyperterminal and establish communications with the Duet and Lyric Intelligent Interface.

8.  Create a Template message by the following command

            W\526\525\XXX.TGA\HELLO\\ <CR>  Note: we saved the Template Description Message to page# 525 and the Template Message to #526 in our example.

9.  You can use the Update command to change one field at a time.

10. Type U\526\0\yyy.tga\\ <CR> where yyy.tga is another graphic in the same directory as the XXX.tga graphic..

11. In Lyric reread page# 526 and you should see the new graphic displayed.

12. To change the template field type U\526\1\goodbye\\ <CR>

13. Read message # 526 again and you should see goodbye in the template field.
