Re-installing ChyronLMem.sys

When installing Lyric on a system that has had Lyric removed, sometimes the Chyron Lyric Memory Manager doesn't install again. To install it this proceed as follows:

1. Download from the Chyron L Mem folder to a folder on your hard drive.
2. Select Start – Control Panel and double click the Add Hardware icon.
3. At the ‘Add Hardware Wizard’ click Next.
4. At the ‘Is Hardware Connected’ window, choose ‘Yes’ and click Next.
5. When ‘The following hardware is already installed’ comes up, scroll down the list

And choose "Add a new hardware device" and click Next.

6. When ‘The wizard can help you install other hardware’ window comes up, Choose ‘Search for and install the hardware automatically’ and click Next

7. After the wizard searches for and doesnot find any new hardware click Next.

8. At ‘From the list below, select the type of hardware you are installing’, highlight "Show All Devices" and click Next.

9. At the next window, " Select the device driver you want to install for this hardware" select "Have Disk" and click Next.

10. At the "Install from Disk" use the browse button to go to the Chyron L Mem Folder, highlight, click Open and hightlight ChyronLMem again and click Open again.

11. With the path to the Chyron L Mem in the window click OK

12. At ‘Select the device driver you want to install for this hardware’, highlight Chyron Lyric Memory Manager and click Next.

13. From ‘The wizard is ready to install your hardware’, click Next

14. Click Finish at Completing the Add Hardware Wizard window.

15. Once the wizard is completed, go to the Device Manager and verify the Chyron L Mem is at the top of the Device Manager window.
