Melville, NY - January 2, 2008: Chyron Corporation (AMEX: CGS) today announced that Portland's Rose Garden arena, home to the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers, has installed Chyron's flagship HD/SD-switchable HyperX² graphics system and XClyps multi-format production clip server.  The systems were installed by Diversified Systems, Inc. 

Installed to commence with the start of the NBA basketball season in October this year, the Rose Garden is using the systems to provide HD Graphics for the Blazers' new in-house 1080i big screen display during games.  The Chyron systems are linked to the NBA DTVI interface for sophisticated player stats.  The HyperX² graphics engine can simultaneously manipulate dozens of 3D layers of text, logos, textures and movie objects, all in real-time.  Chyron's 3D graphics on the Rose Garden big screen range from happy birthday messages to sponsorship logos.  The XClyps is being used for the TD replay move as well as other fan motivational videos.
