GLOBAL TELEVISION AUSTRALIA UPGRADES TO CHYRON HYPERX²
Melville, NY – June 18, 2009: Chyron (NASDAQ:CHYR) today announced that Global Television Australia has upgraded to Chyron’s HD/SD-switchable HyperX² graphics systems for use in live sport and events including Fox Sports Australian Open Tennis, So You Think You Can Dance, Australian Idol and the MTV Australian Video Music Awards.
Global Television has also just put into service two new custom-built, double-expando 24-camera OB trucks – “HD1” and “HD2” - each equipped with HyperX².
Global Chief Technical Officer Andrew Quinn said, “Global have had a good track record in the past ten years with Chyron products and HyperX² gives us an SD/HD solution in the same unit, familiar operator and technical support and, for clients who do not have the luxury of their own graphics department, an easy platform to create their own look offline and then easily import into the HyperX² for on-air.
