Position: Software Engineer Location: Melville, NY
As a Software Engineer on the Camio development team, you will participate in developing a flexible, enterprise wide distributed graphics asset management system and news production automation application.
Candidates must have a strong background in object-oriented and multi-threaded programming and architecture.
Qualifications / Experience
- Strong coding and design/architecture skills in Object-Oriented Programming using C#, C++, and Java
- Experience with .NET, SQL and SQL server, ActiveX, Win32 API, COM, HTTP, and XML are essential.
- Experience with Apache Lucene.net, Apache SOLR and Asp.Net is also desirable.
- A minimum of 3 years of development experience in multithreaded applications on the Windows Platform.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills. Must be a self starter.
- Integration of legacy products/code with new features and capabilities based on current technologies.
- Collaborating with Product Management and SQA to preserve the integrity of the product.
- BS in Computer Science or related discipline.

As a Software Engineer on the Axis development team, you will participate in developing a web based system for graphics creation and asset management.
Candidates must have a strong background in developing web based applications and must thrive in an open, collaborative, team-oriented environment. Familiarity with (and enthusiasm for) agile practices, continuous integration, retrospectives, test and domain driven development are big pluses.
Qualifications / Experience
- Strong coding and design and architecture skills in Object-Oriented Programming using C# and asp.net.
- Experience with the following technologies: .NET, SQL and SQL server, XML, JavaScript, ActionScript, COM, HTTP and NServiceBus (a plus).
- A minimum of 3 years of development experience in developing web based applications using C# and asp.net.
- Have a proven track record developing commercial products in an agile development environment.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills. Must be a self starter.
- Must work well in a small development group and collaborate and work well with other departments including Product Management and SQA.
- BS in Computer Science or related discipline.
