Position: SQA Engineer

Location: NYC

As QA Engineer you will be a key member in a small, experienced, highly motivated and successful team working with latest Microsoft technologies running on hosted servers. You will validate and test new functionality, as well as run the production servers. Primary responsibilities include manual and automated testing, code builds and rollouts, user administration and user support. Secondary responsibilities include new hardware installation, network administration, usage tracking, and other associated tasks.

Skills and Experience: An ideal candidate will have:

• Strong QA instincts for finding, duplicating and documenting application bugs, investigating cross-browser problems, running systems under load until they break, monitoring and optimizing system health, and other testing tasks.
• Experience managing Web sites and Web services running on IIS 5.0 and 6.0 (web gardens, etc.).
• Knowledge of load testing tools such as Microsoft Application Center Test.
• Knowledge of development tools including source control systems (SourceSafe, SourceOffSite or similar), build scripts (NAnt or similar).
• Strong familiarity with Windows 2000 and/or 2003 Server technology including server builds, TCP/IP networking fundamentals, and server management tools.
• Familiarity with software development concepts such as labeled builds, production, QA, development infrastructure separation, etc.
• Ability to assist in administration tasks such as scheduling system updates, defining administration procedures, etc.

Position: Software Engineer

Location: Melville

Chyron is looking for Software Engineer to help join its development team. The Software Engineer will be involved in the development and maintenance of realtime graphics applications for the television broadcast industry.

Ideal Candidate Skills: The candidate must have strong skills Object Oriented Programming using C# and C++. Experience with SQL and SQL server, ActiveX, .NET, TCP/IP, HTTP, and XML are essential. BS in Computer Science is also required.

Ideal Engineering Intern Skills: Experience working with any of the following languages is desired, C#, VC++ and/or C++. This is a paid internship and Interns may be eligible to receive college credits.

Ideal Graphic Artist Intern Skills: Graphic Design students with a concentration in Animation and Motion Graphics. Some 3D Graphics knowledge preferred.
